1 On the 7th of September 1782 l'Orient Is wrecked on the "Pointe Sale". The crew is saved and is dispatched on the other ships.

2 At this date, Monsieur d'Orves, who is very ill, transfers the command of the squadron to Monsieur de Suffren. He will died a few days after, on Saturday the 9th of February 1782.
