Were started using the plans of the Santisima Trinidad and brisith system (Jorge Juan's), but modified by Francisco Gautier.

Had 120 gunports but only carried 112.

Was the 2nd biggest ship of the spanish navy, as San Jose later, after the Santisima Trinidad.
