CADIZ - La Carraca

Spanish Shipyards

 

At Cadiz, prior the Shipyard of La Carraca there were different shipyards; El Puntal, Trocadero, San Fernando and el Real Carenero de Puente Zuazo.

Finally the Royal Shipyard of La Carraca was created (1750) in the island with the same name, in decrement of all others.

 

At La Carraca after 1752, we find 2 dockyards for 70-80 guns ships and 5 for frigates.
