Notes
Pedro de Arostegui died in 1697, finishing the ship his son, Pedro Francisco de Arostegui.
Was built as Capitana with 70 gun ports, but carring only 44. Was built as a galleon but rebuilt & modified at Cadiz as a ship of the line.
Once at Cadiz, after his maiden trip, was modified to carry 70 guns with 3 decks, castle & fore-castle, but never carried more than 64.
(1) Different sources assign 19, 27 & 29 of april as arriving date.
(2) The fleet from El Callao, left 1707-dec-19.
(3) The fleet was scorted by San Jose, San Joaquin, the french frigates Le Mieta, Saint Sprit, the privateer Santa Cruz & other armed minor ships.
Nowadays, a private treasures hunting company had located the ship and is waiting for the Colombian court for the rights.
