Flags and Pendants of the British Navy

 

There are several types of flags used by the British Navy, these fall into four broad categories. Jacks, which are flown from the Bowsprit, Ensigns, which are flown from the Stern or the Peak, Command and identification flags which are flown from the masthead and signal flags.
