Service record

1652/12/10Captured by the Dutch ship Haes in 't Veld after the battle of Dungeness. The Hercules was not involved in the battle but was close by with a limited crew. They ran her aground and escaped before the Dutch took her off. Captain Browne was courtmarshalled and dismissed the service for incompetence.
